The Maxton Mile 200 MPH Run!

A All Animal Control CEO, Mark E. Dotson, powered their Suzuki Hayabusa to 200.35351 MPH at Maxton/Laurinburg airport in North Carolina during the East Coast Timing Association’s May 14-15^th event at Maxton, North Carolina.

Through a lot of effort and the great support and faith from his franchise team, they made it happen and now lay claim to being the Fastest Wildlife Management Company in America…and maybe the world!

“Now maybe we will see if we can break the Land Speed Racing record of 218 MPH. Time will tell if that record will fall!” said Dotson.

A All Animal Control Racing has been involved with the former American Motorcycle Association’s Dragbike series since 2008 and currently races in the International Hotrod Association’s bracket series. In 2010, they joined the East Coast Timing Association and will run two more scheduled events at Maxton later this fall.

The Maxton Mile

The weekend of April 2nd and 3rd found us at The Maxton Mile making the 200mph attempt at one of the fastest tracks on the planet.

Since this was our first attempt, we had to enter as rookies and make 3 safety passes. The passes consisted of 125, 150 and 175mph and were graded as you passed through the traps.

On the first pass we pegged the speedo on 125 and held it steady. Surprisingly enough, the time slip showed the real speed was 106! A quick adjustment to our technique to add 20mph to the speedo and we were up for the second pass, the 150 run. We held on 180 and came through the traps at 163. We aimed a bit high on that pass just to be sure we were where we needed to be.

The 175 pass was going to be a little different as we didn't have a reference point as the speedo would be buried...so we gave it all the bike had. To our delight we were just at the edge of the rev limited and trapped 178 for the final licensing pass! We then received our green light to go as fast as our machine could go.

Since we were banging on the rev limiter, we knew we ran out of gear and decided to retool and get everything ready for another attempt next month!

A All Animal Control Joins Race for the CureA All Animal Control Racing has partnered with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation and will donate their entire race winning payouts in 2011.

“Prompted by a family member as well as fellow motorcycle drag racer that have been affected by breast cancer, we thought this was a great way to support those that are fighting this daily battle” said Mark E. Dotson, team owner and rider. “We love racing and hopefully we can all race down the track to finding a cure” Dotson said.
A All Animal Control will be partnering with their local affiliate in Charleston, WV.

Susan G. Komen fought breast cancer with her heart, body and soul. Throughout her diagnosis, treatments, and endless days in the hospital, she spent her time thinking of ways to make life better for other women battling breast cancer instead of worrying about her own situation. Moved by Susan’s compassion for others and commitment to making a difference, Nancy G. Brinker promised her sister that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer.
Though Susan lost her battle with the disease, her legacy lives on through the work of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the organization Nancy started in her honor. AAAC Racing Update

Friday October 8th – Kanawha Valley Motorsports Park

A All Animal Control Racing Team brings home another win with Mark E. Dotson’s Suzuki Hayabusa. “The air Friday night was perfect” said Dotson. The first pass drew a bye run with a high card drawn. Our teammate Bobby Arey lined up against Ray Perdue and Ray red-lighted. Then it was down to Bobby and Mark to battle it out. Both of their lights were good but Bobby spun down track and went off his dial giving the win to Mark.

Saturday October 9th - Kanawha Valley Motorsports Park

A All Animal Control Racing Team brings home another win with Bobby Arey’s Suzuki Hayabusa. Bobby won the Iron Man Classic ! Mark E. Dotson was paired with Ray Perdue in the semi-finals and Mark broke way out. His dial was a 6:23 and the bike ran a 6:10. “ I knew the bike was on a good pass when I blew by Ray and chopped the throttle too late”, Mark said. Bobby was paired with Jim Utt and Bobby dialed a 6.50 and ran a 6.66, Jim dialed a higher number and broke way out as well.

On the final, Bobby dialed a 6.55 and ran a 6.67 and Ray fell off his dial and gave the win to Bobby. On a side note, Bobby’s bike was just finished by Casto’s Motorcycle Sales due to an accident earlier in September. He went from a wrecked bike to winning the Iron Man!

A All Animal Control Racing has brought home the Bike Championship at Kanawha Valley Motorsports Park for the 2010 season.

"Thanks to the sponsors for helping us bring home the win" said Mark E. Dotson, the rider of their 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa. Without the great folks at Balance Clothing, Casto Cycle Sales and Motul, we could not have achieved the results we did.

" I would also like to extend a special thanks to my wife Alisa for being there and helping me crew the bike".

"It was a big challenge this year with the shutdown of our AMA Dragbike series, but we refocused our efforts locally and came out on top" Dotson said.

"We are making plans for our 2011 season and will post that as soon as we know the direction we are taking", explained Dotson.

AAAC Racing Update

AAAC Racing spent last weekend under lovely skies racing at Pittsburgh Raceway Park during the Region 3 IHRA Bracket Finals. We are the first motorcycle to represent Kanawha Valley Motorsports Park at the Bracket Finals.

We were only able to run 1 qualifying pass each day and Friday’s pass was a 6.18 on the 1/8th mile. The light was not too bad but our 60’ was a bit off.
Saturday brought some more beautiful weather and cool conditions. This pass was a great light and we clocked a 6.04 through the traps. We dialed a 6.00 flat on the bike as the conditions were getting even better. Saturday afternoon rolled around after much waiting and our time came to run.

We were paired with a snowmobile for the first round. The snowmobile dialed a slower time so he left first. I cut a good light but as I was getting my feet up on the pegs, my hand rolled off the throttle slightly and that cost us the race. The bike ran a 6.15. That is how it goes in drag racing! Everything has to be working perfectly for it to all come together. Next year we will go at it again with a more aggressive approach and take home a trophy.
