2012 Throttle Nation Street Bike Shoot Out - A All Animal Control Racing

 

The 7^th Annual Throttle Nation Street Bike Shootout was held September 29-30, 2012 at The Wilmington Mile. A All AnimalControl Racing entered its Street Legal Nitrous Powered 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa into the Unlimited Nitrous Category to battle it out with the fastest street bikes in the nation.

 The weather was picture perfect for this event. The temps were cool and winds light and variable. Our first pass out of the box was early Saturday morning and we nailed a solid 216 mph pass. This took us straight to the top of the leader board. Another nitrous bike ran after us and clicked off the same number but beat our mph by thousandths. Between runs, the bike needed the plugs pulled, nitrous serviced and inspected. We completed that and waited for our next pass. The bike was lined up, rolled the throttle and going down the track it didn’t seem to pull hard. Coming through the traps was too slow and we knew this was not a good pass. The time slip showed 197mph. Now we were going backwards. We were done for the day and ran out of time.

 

Sunday morning’s cool air arrived and we made another attempt. 199mph... Now, we knew we were in trouble.

 

Back to the pits and a quick check under the tank revealed the issue. The nitrous line had come loose and all our spray was venting to Mother Nature. This fixed and the bike turned around, we headed back to the lanes.

We launched the bike like Rickey Gadson doing his best 60 foot and clicked off a solid 220mph pass! We spun in first and second but back on the leader board we went!

 Since we spun, we knew the bike had more in it. Since my crew had gone home Saturday evening, I grabbed a few people around and asked them to jump in for another quick turnaround. Talk about an instant crew! Back to the lanes we went. Since we were sitting on the top of the board, it was tempting to just wait it out and see if anyone else was going to run the number. If they did, then we would make a pass.

 

But, instead of taking that chance and the time running out at 4:00 pm, I pushed the bike through the lanes, waited my turn and made another pass. I managed the throttle to slow down the spinning and pinned it hard in the middle of 2^nd gear. The bike took off like a rocket and every shift point was hit perfectly (and on nitrous they come up very quick). The bike was screaming towards the traps and we knew this was going to be a good number.

 As I was pulling up to the time slip area, there were some racer friends there jumping up and down and that was all the confirmation needed to know I ran even better. 223.8mph!

 It was 3:30 and another bike ran after ours but only hit 222 and change. We had sealed the 2012 7^th Annual Throttle Nation Street Bike Shootout Nitrous Unlimited Category, were the fastest bike of the event and collected 2 more Land Speed Records.

TLN Motorsports Dominates at Loring Maine LTA

TLN Motorsports and Team A All Animal Control dominate at Maine. 8 new LTA LSR National records of  204.791 mph in the standing mile and 206.542 mph in the standing 1.5 mile. The N/A ZX-10R was strong in challenging conditions.

 

The race course at Loring is a former Air Force base that maintained B-52 bombers and their crews. It was a first line of defense base for America.

A All Animal Control Racing Breaks 8 Year Old Land Speed Racing Record!

Once again the conditions were not very favorable for setting or breaking records at The Wilmington Mile. With temperatures hovering at 100 degrees and high humidity, it was going to be a tall order to set any kind of record.

At the last Wilmington Ohio meet in June, the motor blew on their Suzuki Hayabusa and it was quickly delivered to Two Wheel Werkz, a drag and grudge bike racing specialty shop based in Brownsburg, IN. Justin Douchet is the owner of Two Wheel Werkz and tuner of the A All Animal Control Hayabusa. Justin has a special business relationship with engine building specialist, Bill DeShong of Cycle Motion Powersports in Greenwood, IN. The engines Bill builds are taken far beyond their limits and have to stand up to the punishment of land speed racing.

With their complementary skills working in combination, these guys give us the power to go to extreme speeds.

On Saturday morning July 7th the first pass was made and the bike performed flawlessly. On shutdown that was a different matter. During braking the rear end started hopping and made for quite an exciting shutdown to say the least! The chain was loosened and a half turn of preload was taken out of the front forks and a pound of air taken from the front and rear tires. That pass was another record breaking run in the MPS/F/1350-4 class.

The plugs were pulled and the data downloaded. A quick call to Justin revealed some tuning adjustments needed to be made to the fuel and nitrous ratios as well as the ram air numbers.

The plugs revealed the temperatures were where they needed to be and they were installed and the bike buttoned up. It was decided to wait for the cool morning air of Sunday to make the next pass.

The cool air arrived as expected on Sunday as well as a slight tailwind. The bike was launched hard and screamed through the traps at 218.7 mph. This pass broke the 8 year old Maxton Mile record of 218.6 mph and put us in the record books for a 5^th time!

September is the next event at The Ohio Mile and Team A All Animal Control Racing will be there to represent.

Fastest Motorcycle in West Virginia

Wilmington OH – The Ohio Mile

On June 2, 2012, Mark E. Dotson set out to make it in the record books at The Wilmington Mile and beat the existing 206mph record in the Modified 1350CC class. Early in the morning, he launched hard on his Brocks sponsored 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa. First gear wasn’t pretty when the rev limiter was pegged, but after that was sorted out and the spray came on, the bike was on a solid pass to lay down a great number. Crossing the traps at 211mph, Mark had eclipsed the standing record.

This record beating run not only gave him the record but it also put him in the 200mph club! To be a member of the club, you must beat an existing record above 200mph.

Thanks to Brocks Performance with their great products and technical expertise, Mark E. Dotson is poised to keep on setting records and better the 218mph record that was set at Maxton in 2004.

The Wilmington Mile April 2012

It was a hard fought battle this weekend in Wilmington, OH at the East Coast Timing Association April 2012 event. The wind, sun, cold and rain beat us up on both days but we managed to come out on top.

Patrick Malphus was riding the AAAC Suzuki Hayabusa and making licensing passes. He completed his 150, 175 and was on a great pass for his 200 but fell short at 198.4 MPH. Patrick has a great future ahead of him and holds several Land Speed Records. We are proud that he piloted the AAAC Nitrous Hayabusa!

Greg Neal, another AAAC sponsored rider broke a Land Speed Racing Record with a pass of 202 and earned his Blue 200 MPH Club Hat! Greg holds numerous land speed records and continues to break his own.

The more we give others in life, the more we will receive. We can give our time, talents and possessions to allow someone else to achieve their goals.

P.S. One of my racer friends that owns a property management company said he used our service for one of his properties! Always like to hear that at the track!!

Greg Neal continues to set records and just returned from the Texas Mile March 2012 event  with more records to his credit. His current record is set at 181.300 mph on a 600CC Kawasaki!

Greg has some minor items to sort out before the next event at the Ohio Mile, but feels he will be able to easily be ready when the event is upon us.

Getting Ready For Racing in 2012 at A All Animal Control

The 2012 racing season is going to be starting soon! With one bike in Brownsburg, IN at Two Wheel Werks getting tuned up for some Land Speed Racing and another bike at Balance Clothing in Charleston, WV getting a wrap, things are coming together for another great season.
