Wossner Pistons Joins as Sponsor of A All Animal Control Racing for 2014 Season!

A All Animal Control Racing is excited to announce that Wossner Pistons has joined as a sponsor for our 2014 race season at The Ohio Mile! Wossner Pistons provides the Nitrous Pistons in our motors that will help us reach the goal of 235mph in the Standing Mile and to continue the chase to be the Fastest Nitrous Powered Motorcycle in the Standing Mile.

In 2005 Wossner Pistons entered in to the North American piston market by opening up Wossner USA, Wossner Pistons started by renting a logistics warehouse from one of its valued customers/distributors and then went on to set up various specialized distributors throughout America as well as their own warehouse/offices in Huntington Beach CA. This will allow Wossner Pistons to service customers all over the world outside of Europe with quicker delivery and a broader range of Wossner pistons, rods and gaskets.

In 2010 Wossner has started manufacturing forged rods for the most popular 2&4 stroke off-road bikes and 4-wheelers, this is complimented by our own line of top-end gasket kits.

Wossner Pistons has a unique advantage over other forged piston companies, in 2009 Wossner has acquired an in house forging facility FGM (Forging Group Monale) in Italy. The quality of a forged piston begins with the precision of the forging and the quality of the raw materials. Wossner Pistons utilizes both 4032 and 2618 Aluminum alloys for our pistons as well as 4340 steel alloy for our rods.

When Wossner Pistons designs a new forging, rod, piston we must first design the component to fit the requirement of the engine, usage and customers requirements. After the new component is designed we must test it in FEA (Finite Element Analysis) computer simulation. This enables Wossner to test the part to see if any design changes need to be made prior to sending components to the customer's. When we supply a new part we can be confident it will work for the customer's specific application reducing the R&D time significantly.

Wossner Pistons has the most up-to-date CNC manufacturing centers and has short manufacturing times for prototypes, this allows Wossner to be first to market in most cases and insures a high quality part every time with repeatable performance and quality.

A All Animal Control Sponsored Rider Captures Two Land Speed Records!

The Ending to a Successful 2013 Race Season

This weekend we completed the 2013 race season with great results. We brought home two more records which brings us to six for the year. The weather in Wilmington was great and the attendance was high, so every run had to count. Saturday we managed to get two runs in, one being a new record. Sunday brought a pretty good headwind which brought the speeds down, but we managed to bring home another record anyway.

We were also able to bring home the track championship at Kanawha Valley Dragway for 2013 as well. Overall we are very pleased with the 2013 season, 6 new land speed records, became a lifetime member of the ECTA 200mph club on a rookie year and another track championship.

On a personal note, this was also my son’s first race event he has attended. Got to get them started young!

Wrapping Up The 2013 Race Season at The Ohio Mile

It has been a great year for A All Animal Control Racing! We set out to best our top speed of 223.8 in 2012 and blew right through that when rider Mark E. Dotson clicked off a pass at 229.35.

The September 2013 event at the Ohio Mile added two more records to his count and turned some heads when he moved up to the #3 spot in the World with a Half Mile speed of 209.20!

Mark added 9 Land Speed Records in 2013 for an overall total of 16 records since 2011 and many are still on the books today. The September race marks his 13th event.

Earning 16 records in 13 events is no easy task with some of the world’s fastest racers at each of these events. In 2012, Mark broke an existing eight year old record with a speed of 218.7MPH and bumped that record to 222.55 in April of 2013. In 2013, Mark broke an existing nine year old record to earn the title of the Fastest Nitrous Motorcycle in The Standing Mile in The World at 229.35MPH.

Team mate Bobby Arey added 6 Land Speed Records in 2013 for a combined 15 records and an overall total of 22 for A All Animal Control Racing. Bobby also earned his 200MPH Club hat and Lifetime Membership at The Ohio Mile for breaking an existing record above 200MPH. For this being Bobby’s Rookie season, he knocked it out of the park setting those records!

We wish to thank God for protecting us at these high speeds, as well as our families for their support and of course none of this would be possible without incredible sponsors.

Thank you for standing behind a winning team and putting your trust in us over the years!

As we rethink, retool and plan for next year, everyone at A All Animal Control Racing wishes you a great off season!

The Ohio Mile July 2013 A All Animal Control Racing Team Report

Wilmington Weather Woes and Breaking More Records!

If there ever was a bad weather weekend for racing, July 6 & 7 had to have been it. We arrived early at the track on Friday and fought the rain for most of the way there from Hurricane, WV. We left Hurricane and ended up in a Monsoon!

The weather was so bad that we had to tech bikes in the trailer and then we were lucky enough between breaks to run them down to the tech lane. Tech went fairly well, but we had to “adjust” the rear brake a bit to ensure enough travel.

The next morning we were up bright and early to welcome the rain once again. The radar shot looked like the entire Gulf of Mexico was being dragged up North and was going to rain on Ohio for another week as a high pressure system was stalled off the East coast preventing this low from moving off shore.

But, we loaded up our breakfast sandwiches that the folks at the General Denver hotel make special for us and went to the track anyway. A mandatory drivers meeting is held each meet rain or shine. As we all stood around with our umbrellas during the meeting, a canopy was hastily assembled and most of the people took advantage of it.

Drivers meeting complete, it was time to go back to the pits and see if there was anything else that needed to be completed. The tires were checked, the swingarm filled up with nitrogen and then the waiting began once again.

FINALLY, in the afternoon the weather broke and we were able to make a shakedown pass. This was only a motor pass and somewhere about the half mile and at 168mph we disintegrated a bird when it hit the bike. I know we are in the bird control business too, but this is not exactly how we prefer to do airport bird control!

The rain came once again and that was the end of Saturday.

Sunday came with another 5am wake up and we were off to the track for gates opening at 6am. The early bird was going to get the worm today! The sky looked like a tornado could whip out of it at any moment, but the rain was holding off so far.

The bike was 4th in line and when the turn came to go, we launched and poured the wood to it. The humidity was so high that about 50 yards out Mark E. Dotson’s helmet immediately fogged up to the point that visibility was challenging. It cleared up a little, but with the nitrous coming in at 2nd gear, you really want to actually see down this narrow course at 200mph. At about the ¾ mile marker, the shield was still a little hazy and he rolled out a bit and then got back in it and rolled through the traps at 220mph to take the MPS/BF-1650/4 record.

After a quick change of the nitrous bottle and weighing it, there was an issue. We were 9 mph off to begin with and the next pass would confirm if there was a problem.

Got the bike back on the tire warmer and in the pre-staged area. Waited for the tire and nitrous to get up to temp and for our turn to go. The weather was still holding and the bike pulled to the starting line. The launch went well and the shift points were hit beautifully. The bike just didn’t seem to be pulling hard and ran through the traps at 223mph. This pass put us in the record books again by beating the old MPS/BF-3000/4 record, but confirmed that something was not right.

After reviewing the data and weighing the second bottle, it was only just over a pound used. The tank was pulled up and the nitrous solenoid was swapped out with a new one. Changed out the bottle, pumped the swingarm up and ran back up to the line as the day was getting late. Put the bike back on the warmers and then the rain started once again. A bike cover was hastily put on and the laptop pulled out and a map change was made back to the original map. We figured that if the beginning of the nitrous problem was at the last event and fuel was taken out and this new valve worked, we were going to be picking up pieces of this motor on the track for the next week if we didn’t go back to a fat map.

The rain stopped and the track dried. We were just about to finish with the tune and pull the bike off the rear stand when we got the news that a rider friend of ours went down on their bike at over 200 but were OK.

We now hold ALL the Modified Partial Streamlined Fuel and Blown Fuel Records from 1350cc through 3000cc!

In September we will be defending our title of The Fastest Street Legal Bike in The Nation!

Thanks to our sponsors for making the records keep on falling for Team A All AnimalControl Racing!

The Ohio Mile June 2013 A All Animal Control Racing Team Report

The June 2013 race at The Ohio Mile was a time when everything came together for A All Animal Control Racing. The weather on Saturday was picture perfect. We normally battle a headwind on this track, but this day the wind was calm and great speeds were to be had.
We wanted to get out on the track early and be one of the first to make a pass. The density altitude was 1260 feet when it was time to make our first pass and we threw everything at it to make a great launch. The bike pulled hard in the crisp cool air and at the half mile trapped 202.3381 mph. The back half of the track was even better and the bike picked up a ton of speed to hit the traps at 229.3578!
This pass became the official Fastest Nitrous Bike in The Standing Mile in the World, previously held by Guy Caputo of Tiger Racing Products at a speed of 228.803 and was a 9 year old record.
Sunday came and provided some decent weather with sun and some wind. The density altitude was over 2000 feet on our first run and the bike clicked off a 226.9269 for another record in the Modified Partial Streamlined Blown Fuel 1650 class.
The next pass up the bike slowed down a mile per hour as the winds were picking up and the bike went through the traps at a brisk 225.7903.
The final pass of the meet developed an issue with the bike breaking up when the nitrous came in and we had to shut it down and coast through the traps. That certainly is the way it is in motorcycle racing!
This weekend added another 3 Land Speed Records to the rider, Mark E. Dotson’s credit and bumped him up the list 14 spots to land 39th in the Top 50 Fastest Bikes in The Standing Mile in The World.
With a 202.3381 half mile speed, Mark will be #9 on the list of those over 200 in the half mile. There are only 13 riders to have achieved this record that are listed on SuzukiHayabusa.org.
Mark E. Dotson now holds all 4 of the Modified Partial Streamlined Fuel Non Pushrod records in the 1350cc and above category and 2 of the 4 Modified Partial Streamlined Blown Fuel Non Pushrod records, the 1650 and 2000cc.
A All Animal Control Racing now has 12 Land Speed Records and will be chasing after many more in the future.
Thank you to our many great sponsors who make our racing program a winning team!

More Records Fall For The A All Animal Control Racing Team at The Ohio Mile

The April 28-29, 2013 opener at The Ohio Mile was quite thrilling to say the least. With violent wind gusts and storms, our team only managed to make 2 passes all weekend long. Anything above 15 mph cross or headwinds is the limit for our race team and seriously slows our speed and affects safety.

The great news is that we made the most out of those passes and with the skill of our rider, Mark E. Dotson, he was able to blast through the head and cross winds at 14 mph to break another Land Speed record in the MPS/F-3000 – 4 (Modified Partial Streamlined, Fuel, 3000 CC 4 Stroke). At 223.21 MPH, He blew right through the old published record of 212.017 set in 2012.

We have also reclaimed our title of MPS/F-1350 – 4 (Modified Partial Streamlined, Fuel, 1350 CC 4 Stroke) with a record setting pass of 222.55 MPH. The previous published record was at 219.691 set in 2012.

This means that we now hold 3 out of 4 titles in the large bore bikes category of the Modified Partial Streamlined Fuel classes, 1350, 2000 and 3000 and brings our Land Speed Racing records to a total of 9.

A All Animal Control racing is gearing up for their first race of the year at The Ohio Mile in Wilmington OH April 27-28, 2013. The bike is being assembled and the final tuning done at this time. With less than two weeks to go, we must have everything ready to go quickly!

With Bill Deshong’s great motor building ability and Justin Douchet’s tuning skills, the bike made 204 HP on motor and 305 HP on the nitrous. This is a significant increase from 2012 and will hopefully be enough to break the 230 MPH barrier on nitrous in the mile.

A Special Shout Out to Nova Rubber!

The folks at Nova Rubber in South Charleston, WV have always been great to work with. These guys provide me with any kind of line that moves fluid, gas, oil or air. If it can be made, they will make it for me. They have been instrumental in solving all my fitting and hose problems and their equipment holds up at 200 plus MPH!

The quality of my air lines alone are incredible. I will come back from a race and the lines will hold air for months. There is no bleed down while you are sitting in the lanes.

If you need any type of fluid or air connection or lines and fitting, this is only a part of what they do. I purchased my hose reel for my nitrogen tank from them and it is a great addition to any race trailer to keep you organized and efficient.
